If you want to feel like you are living your best European Summer Life…but on a budget…Montenegro is a great alternative to Italy, France, or Spain. Montenegro has incredibly similar vibes (cobblestone streets, charming alleyways, and lovely town centers), but you won’t be spending nearly as much money here!

If you are a budget traveler, you could easily plan a trip for around $50-$100/day. Or if you’re more of a midrange spender, you could plan a trip around $100-$150/day. This includes accommodations, food, transportation, and activities.

Montenegro has the most charming towns that are a great dupe of the old charming towns you find in Italy and France. Montenegro also has amazing beaches with a stunning backdrop. If adventure is your jam, there are plenty of opportunities for outdoor hiking and rafting not far from the city!
