SKIP POSITANO…TRY PONZA ISLAND INSTEAD

Known as “Capri without the tourists” PONZA island is a hidden gem in Italy! This island is the best place to experience the authentic “Italian summer” without the crowds of tourists.

Ponza Island is a small island with a small city, but it packs so much charm and beauty. There are amazing beaches, grottos and caves filled with turquoise blue water, scenic boating, and colorful scuba diving. During the day you can rent a boat, or join a boat tour to see all of the beautiful beaches and explore the grottos and caves. Beaches are known for being secluded, making them tranquil places to go for a dip and sunbathe.

The town is packed with colorful buildings, fresh markets, artisan boutiques, and traditional seafood restaurants, and is much less crowded than other Italy vacation cities. Ponza offers visitors a chance to experience authentic Italian culture and hospitality.

⭐️The best part - Ponza Island is an easy day trip from Rome! Take a one hour train ride, followed by a short ferry ride, and arrive at the beautiful island. This makes it a great option if you are in Rome and can’t fit Positano into your trip itinerary.

Save this for future trip planning!!

Visit this city instead of Positano
PRAIANO! Everyone talks about visiting Positano, but I recommend visiting the neighboring city of Praiano instead. Slightly removed from the action you'll find less crowds, cheaper lodging, and better dining. Plus, Positano is just a short bus/water taxi ride away! By no means is Praiano
