Two years ago, my husband and I decided it was time to shake things up in our front yard—it was just too boring! We took a trip to Lowe’s and Walmart and picked up some landscape fabric, a garden liner, white rocks, and solar panel lights to bring it all to life.
Fast forward two years, and we were ready for a change—something that felt more springy and fresh! Luckily, our local Home Depot was having a spring sale: 5 bags of mulch for $10 (usually $3–$4 each!), so we couldn’t pass that up. We reused the leftover landscape fabric and garden liner from before (yay for saving money where we can!).
I wanted to switch up the lighting this time and found a new set at Home Depot for $34.99 + tax—and they really gave the space a soft, cozy glow in the evenings.
We thought about flowers, but ended up going for something low maintenance and lush: foxtail ferns! We picked up 3 of them at $19.98 each, and they added the perfect pop of vibrant green.
Next up: our front porch makeover—can’t wait to bring that space to life too!
