how I edit landscape photos

ever take a really amazing photo, only to realize that it didn’t capture the beauty of the landscape due to the coloration looking really dull? I took this photo on a cloudy, rainy day so before I edited it , it appears really gray and kind of ominous looking. After playing around with the settings a bit, I was able to bring my photo back to life and it went from the beginning of a horror movie to a beautiful whimsical hike in the forest!

if your photo is already really bright, this recipe might not be the best - but this is a great setting for brightening up grayish/gloomy photos and throwing a splash of color back into them!

recipe:

exposure: +20

brilliance: -10

highlights: -40

shadows: -28

contrast: -24

brightness: -19

blackpoint: +14

saturation: +49

vibrance: +47

warmth: -34

tint: +14

sharpness: +10

definition: +19

For grayish or gloomy landscapes, consider raising the saturation and vibrance levels to inject life into the image. Using the right settings can make a significant difference in how your photos look. Experiment with contrast and shadows to create depth, and refine the sharpness for added detail. These techniques not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also capture the true essence of the environment. Remember to save your edits as presets for quick adjustments in future projects.
