The Plants I Probably Won’t Buy Again🌱

I always do research first before I buy any plants. Because I want to make sure I can keep them. But sometimes I am too excited to think about it when I am at the store.

However, every house has different environment for the plants. Some of them didn’t work out for me. And I need to think twice before I decide to buy them again.

Sunlight and air flow are the main factors I think affecting house plants a lot. For me, living in Texas has to turn on A/C 24/7. It’s way too hot and humid to open windows most of the time. I feel bad for my plant babies sometimes.

I almost lost my confidence for indoor plants somehow after these plants.

1. Money Tree

2. Alocasia Silver Dragon

3. Alocasia Green Apple

4. Zebra Plant

5. Aglaonema Chinese Evergreen

So, before I can create an environment they like (such as buying plant growing light, humidifier and fan for them), I probably won’t buy them again!

Any tips for money tree? I’m still struggling to keep them alive. 🥹🫠 Should I take it to the patio?

Sometimes plants tend to die if it has disease, malnutrition, or environment. Check for root rot, mold spores on soil, and leaves. Your plant will tell you if it's sick. sometimes we need to add nutrients. Potted plants need fertilizer. Check the ph levels, and soil to see if it's too acidic etc... Some plants like the money tree requires humidity. keeping them around plants like pothos, orchids, spider plants, with a small humidifier is enough to keep it happy. You also can cultivate your trees and grow new ones through proper propagating. Money trees like pathos can grow in water to establish roots before potting them.
