Let’s make some fondant potatoes 👩🏾🍳
If you are a huge fan of mashed potatoes like me, but you’re in the mood for something a little different, try these fondant potatoes! Nicknamed the melting potatoes ! They are really easy to make, and they will instantly elevate your dish!
Ingredients
* 2 Russet potatoes
* Butter
* Rosemary or Thyme (I prefer Rosemary)
* Chicken broth or chicken bouillon and water
* Garlic
Step 1: cut your potato into four slices and use a cookie cutter to get the perfect circle shape.
Step 2: allow your potatoes to sit in an ice bath for 30 minutes to an hour and then pat them dry and lightly seasoned with salt and pepper.
Step 3: preheat your cast-iron pan on medium and add enough oil to just cover the bottom of the pan.
Step 4 : sear your potatoes for about 4 to 5 minutes per side
Step 5: add your butter (I used some unsalted butter and a spoonful of garlic butter ), rosemary and garlic to the pan along with 1 cup of seasoned chicken broth.
Step 6 : Place you potatoes in a 425° oven for 30 minutes
