Living in a place as genuinely beautiful as Redwood Falls, Minnesota, has been an incredible chapter of my life. You know those moments when you step outside and just feel connected to nature? That's daily life here! The tranquility of the rural landscape, the crisp air, and the stunning natural beauty truly make it a hidden gem. I've spent countless hours enjoying the outdoors, finding peace in the quiet corners of this charming part of Minnesota. It's been perfect for exercise and just unwinding from the day-to-day hustle. However, as much as I adore the scenery and the calm pace of life, sometimes practicalities call for a change. As a single mom, securing a career that offers growth and stability is incredibly important. Despite my new BSBA, I found that opportunities in Redwood Falls, MN, specifically for my professional aspirations, were quite limited. It was a tough realization because my heart loves the beauty of this area, but my head knew I needed to make a proactive move for my future and my family's well-being. That's why I'm embarking on a new adventure: cosmetology school! In just five days, I’ll be starting this exciting journey and moving about 47 miles away to Willmar, MN. It’s a bigger town with more diverse career prospects, and I’m ready for the challenge. This decision wasn't made lightly; it involved a lot of soul-searching and planning. Leaving the familiar beauty of Redwood Falls, Minnesota, is bittersweet, but the prospect of building a fulfilling career and creating new opportunities for us is incredibly motivating. For anyone out there facing similar dilemmas—balancing the love for your current environment with the need for career advancement—my advice is to follow your gut. Research your options, weigh the pros and cons, and don't be afraid to take that leap of faith.
