Everything you hear about grandkids is true. They are the best. Watching my daughter with her daughter. Hanging out with them. Having the granddaughter follow me around asking a billion questions like her mom did. It’s just all great. Every part of it is amazing.

The weather in northern Illinois (zone 5) hadn’t been on our side. But we are finally harvesting peppers and tomatoes. About 3.5 weeks later than last year. Soon our cellar will be full again.

Watching the grass turn green, flowers come back, hearing the birds making a fuss. I just love it so much! I can’t wait to really get into the garden and start working.
