Some lovely food//drink spots in Florence, Italy 🇮🇹

Florence is such a magical city , filled with unlimited options of delicious food and drink restaurants.

Here are a few that stood out to me on my last visit:

.

✨ Osteria delle Tre Panche- I put this first because this has to be my favorite of them all! The location is central and you can dine inside or outside. I would highly recommend to make a reservation prior to dinning for outdoor seating where you can overlook the beautiful river and ponte veccchio bridge. The truffle pasta was so amazing , I’m still craving it today! Stay a while and treat yourself to a delicious desert and desert wine and soak in all the beauty of this lovely restaurant 👏

.

.

✨Osteria Antica Casa Torre- what a lovely find! This was an unplanned gem that was found while walking and it did not disappoint! The tables outside felt as though you were at a friend’s house for dinner. The ravioli was perfect and I would suggest to treat yourself to a bottle of lovely wine 😎

.

.

✨Ditta Artigianale Neri- my favorite breakfast spot in a Florence ! The avocado toast was soo delicious and they offer a variety of coffee and tea choices along with indoor or outdoor seating. This is also a great place to take a little break and prepare for your day !

.

.

✨I am Qi bubble tea - if you’re craving a bubble tea, this is the perfect spot. Nestled amongst a few shops and hotels, this is a great spot for a refreshing drink. I had the honey green tea with boba and it was magnificent ⭐️

Florence

... Read moreAfter exploring the incredible sights of Florence, finding the perfect spot to refuel is key. The city's food scene is truly magical, offering everything from quaint street cafes to elegant trattorias. My personal tip for anyone navigating Florence's culinary delights is to embrace the local pace. Don't be afraid to wander off the main tourist paths a little – that's where you often find the truly authentic gems and experience the real 'Florence food scene.' For that quintessential 'Florence street cafe' experience, I always look for places with outdoor seating where you can people-watch while enjoying a delicious pasta dish and a glass of local Tuscan wine. There's nothing quite like sipping a Chianti alongside a rich ragù or a simple cacio e pepe as the city life unfolds around you. Many cafes offer fantastic bruschetta, perfect for a light snack with your wine, just like I enjoyed during my trip! Finding a cozy corner to enjoy pasta and wine is one of my favorite things to do in Italy. Speaking of treats, while my article mentioned the delightful dessert wine at Osteria delle Tre Panche, you absolutely must try an affogato if you find yourself near a classic Italian bar. Imagine a scoop of creamy vanilla gelato drowned in a shot of hot, strong espresso – it's the perfect pick-me-up! Places like Vivoli are famous for them, and it’s an experience that truly captures the Italian love for coffee and sweets. It's a wonderful way to enjoy a quick, refreshing dessert, especially after a hearty meal. When it comes to finding the best pasta in Florence, keep an eye out for family-run *osterias*. Beyond the incredible truffle pasta at Osteria delle Tre Panche and the amazing ravioli at Osteria Antica Casa Torre, I always recommend checking out the daily specials. Often, these feature seasonal ingredients and traditional regional dishes that aren't on the regular menu. Don't be shy to ask for recommendations on wine pairings too; the local reds complement pasta beautifully. Look for charming exteriors and cozy interiors – sometimes the simplest places have the most incredible food. And if you're lucky, you might even find an osteria with stunning views of the Duomo or the Arno River, adding to that unforgettable Florentine dining experience. And for something a little different and incredibly refreshing, especially on a warm day, don't underestimate the joy of a bubble tea break. While Florence is steeped in tradition, spots like I am Qi bubble tea offer a delightful, modern twist. Their honey green tea with boba was a fantastic way to cool down after a busy morning exploring. It’s a great spot to grab a unique drink and recharge before diving back into the city's sights. It’s a perfect example of how Florence blends its ancient charm with contemporary tastes. Whether you're craving classic Italian fare or something unique, Florence's food and drink scene has endless possibilities. Don't rush, savor every bite and sip – it's all part of the Italian adventure!
