Hey yall, I’m Janée 💕

I am currently 11 months postpartum, and although motherhood is the GREATEST thing I could have ever asked for, it comes with A LOT! A lot of sacrifice, responsibility, sleepless nights, stress, overstimulation, plus plus!! MOST importantly it comes with A LOT of love 💕🤱🏽

✨I would have never known or understood postpartum or motherhood until I truly was actually IN it. See that’s the thing. Can you truly prepare for it if there’s no manual!? You can try 😂 I did as much as I could, but it’s one of those things… you just gotta go through it!

✨Today….KICKED. MY.AZZZZZ! I feel as though the first year is literally like getting jumped into a gang 😂 Every level requires another azz kick and you just gotta roll with the punches because the end cause is totally worth it. I’ve truly learned to just surrender and that even if one moment seems hopeless, 10 minutes later could be one of the happiest moments ever!

💕LETS NORMALIZE PEOPLE

UNDERSTANDING POSTPARTUM DOESN’T END AFTER A FEW MONTHS! It takes 2 years for us to truly recover. Hell, I feel it more right now than ever before! Maybe because I am now having to find myself, and this new me while also trying to be the best mom that I can be as my child is requiring more energy it seems the older she gets. 💕 I’m still trying to find the time to actually have self care time, yet understanding this is the phase of life I am in and it takes time to navigate it.

✨ OR maybe it is because we live in a society that makes it seem like we just have to BE STRONG and SUCK IT UP! Instead of being able to focus fully on being a mother, we still have societal pressures forcing us even more of a mental load. I wish us mothers had more resources and communities where we could talk, get support, and get advice. SO LETS MAKE THAT!

✨I really want to create a safe community and space for mamas especially new mamas who may need support and help. I also have a line of 100% organic products for pregnancy, postpartum, and children. I will definitely be dropping more herbs, information and tips specifically targeted for MAMAS!

This can lead to immense pressure to 'bounce back' or 'have it all together,' which is simply unrealistic. What helped me was realizing that every day is a learning curve, and it's okay not to have all the answers. Embracing the 'silly face' moments and finding joy in the small, unexpected things can truly shift your perspective. The societal pressure to 'be strong and suck it up' is so real, adding to the overwhelming mental load. It's like we're expected to be super-moms without needing any support. But what if we flipped that narrative? What if we actively sought out and built communities where we could genuinely share our struggles and triumphs? This could be online forums, local mom groups, or even just a few trusted friends. Sharing those 'today kicked my azzz' moments not only normalizes them but also helps you realize you're far from alone. Don't be afraid to reach out and ask for help, whether it's for an hour of childcare or just a listening ear. Self-care often feels like a luxury we can't afford, especially when your child requires more energy as they grow. However, even tiny pockets of time can make a difference. This isn't about spa days every week (though wouldn't that be lovely!), but about intentional moments. Maybe it's five minutes of quiet with a cup of tea, a quick walk around the block, or listening to your favorite podcast while doing chores. Small, consistent acts of self-kindness accumulate. Remember, you can't pour from an empty cup, and caring for yourself allows you to be a more present and patient parent. And let's talk about those sleepless nights and overstimulation. It's a constant battle. I found implementing small routines, even if they sometimes fell apart, helped create some semblance of predictability. Things like diffusing calming essential oils, or using products made with organic ingredients for both myself and my baby, gave me a sense of doing something good and natural for our well-being. Focusing on what you can control, even if it's just a tiny corner of your day, can help manage the feeling of overwhelm.
