A simple apple + peanut butter dessert I love
This is one of my favorite quick snacks when I want something sweet but still simple and lighter.
It tastes like a creamy apple dessert with a peanut butter twist—and it only takes a few ingredients I always already have at home.
Ingredients:
1/2 cosmic crisp apple
3/4 cup sugar free cool whip
1-2 tbs creamy peanut butter
How I Make It
• Slice 1/2 Cosmic Crisp apple thinly (I use a mandolin for easy even slices)
• Add apple slices to a container with a lid
• Add 3/4 cup sugar-free Cool Whip
• Add 1–2 tbsp creamy peanut butter
• Close the lid and shake until everything is coated
That’s it—no mixing bowl needed.
It turns into this creamy, sweet, slightly crunchy snack that feels way more indulgent than it is.
Would you try this combo?

If you’re anything like me, you want quick snack options that are both satisfying and simple, especially when craving something sweet without going overboard on calories or prep time. This apple and peanut butter dessert hits that mark perfectly. Using Cosmic Crisp apples adds a juicy yet firm texture, which holds up well when thinly sliced and coated with the creamy mixture. One tip I’ve found useful is to use a mandoline slicer, as it creates even, thin apple slices that make each bite consistent. The sugar-free Cool Whip adds just enough sweetness and fluffiness without excess sugar, making the snack feel indulgent without being overly rich. Adding the creamy peanut butter gives it a slightly salty contrast and boosts the protein, which helps keep you fuller longer. I like to prepare this snack in a container with a lid and shake it gently rather than mixing it, which makes cleanup easier — no bowls needed! This also helps coat each apple slice evenly with Cool Whip and peanut butter. It’s a great option for portion-controlled indulgence or a midday pick-me-up. Plus, you can customize the amount of peanut butter depending on how rich or light you want the flavor to be. For anyone looking to keep calories low, choosing sugar-free Cool Whip and a measured amount of peanut butter is key. This combination offers a perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and crunchy textures that feel indulgent but are easy on the diet. I’d definitely recommend trying this easy dessert for a quick treat that feels both homemade and special.

I bet this would be good with vanilla greek yogurt swapped for the cool whip. (I do love Cool Whip, though! 🤣)
