5 books you could read in ONE sitting❕💌

everyone loves a good binge worthy book. for me, books i can read in one sitting have to have good plot, banter (in romance), twists (in thrillers), and be fairly short.

💌 beg, borrow, or steal

i love this book along with all of sarah adams books. i think all of her books are very easily binge worthy but this one is my favorite!

💌 the soulmate

i will never stop talking about this one. i LOVED it. i've never wanted to re read a thriller simply because i already know what happens, but this one i actually want to!

💌 summer in the city

i ATE this one up! i love all of the characters in this book. the mmc was actually the most perfect ever.

💌 the teacher

this one is a controversial one. i think mostly because of the relationships. but y'all it's a thriller so its gonna be a little creepy. the twists in this one gave me whiplash. the ending couldn't have been more perfect.

💌 lights out

this one is actually hilarious. i also think it's the perfect intro into dark romance.

... Read moreOkay, bookworms, let's be real – sometimes you just need a book you can dive into and not come up for air until the very last page! That's exactly why I'm obsessed with 'one-sitting' reads. They're perfect for those days when you've got a free afternoon, a long commute, or just need a quick escape from reality. For me, a truly binge-worthy book isn't just short; it has to grab you from page one and not let go. Think compelling plot twists, laugh-out-loud banter, or characters you instantly connect with. If you're constantly asking 'find me a book by [any author]' or just looking for that next unputdownable story, like the 'do it, just do it' urge to start a new adventure, here are some of my personal tips for discovering your next one-sitting obsession: 1. Look for Novellas or Shorter Novels: This might seem obvious, but many authors publish fantastic novellas that pack a punch in fewer pages. Also, some full-length novels are just naturally fast-paced. As I mentioned with 'Summer in the City', it was 'SO FAST PACED' and such a fun time! 2. Genre Matters: Thrillers and some contemporary romances are often designed for rapid consumption. Thrillers, especially, are built on suspense and cliffhangers that make it almost impossible to put down. 'The Soulmate' had me saying 'I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY INTEREST IN REREADING A THRILLER. BUT I WILL BE REREADING THIS ONE!' because the twists were just that good. Similarly, romance with 'perfect banter' (like 'Beg, Borrow, or Steal') can fly by. Dark romance, like 'Lights Out', often has that intense pull. 3. Check Reader Reviews for Pacing: Before you commit, glance at reviews. Look for phrases like 'couldn't put it down,' 'read it in a day,' or 'fast-paced.' Sometimes, even if a book is a bit controversial, like 'The Teacher' was for me, if the reviews mention 'whiplash twists' or an ending you 'had to read twice,' you know it's going to be a quick, intense journey. 4. Trust Your Gut (and Your Favorite Tropes!): What do you usually love? If you're a fan of enemies-to-lovers, second-chance romance, or psychological twists, lean into those. For example, if you love a character who's a 'Rottweiler to the world, Golden Retriever to her,' you know you're in for a specific kind of dynamic that might just hook you instantly. 5. Don't Fear the Reread: Sometimes, the best 'one-sitting' experience is revisiting an old favorite. You already know you love it, and you can just sink into the story without any suspense about whether it's worth your time. Discovering these 'BINGEWORTHY BOOKS' has made my reading life so much more exciting. There’s nothing quite like the satisfaction of finishing a whole story in one go. So next time you're looking for that perfect escape, remember these tips and dive into a world you won't want to leave!
