A little inspo 🥰
First things first..my arms are still sore from 2 days ago so the weights were lower than what I would normally do for back day.
I'm pretty sure I used 10 and 15 pound dumbbells for everything and usually I'm at 20 and 25 for back day.
My reps were also a little lower...like 4 sets of 8-10.
The reason I'm sharing is because some days you will feel strong asfff and other days come with more weakness...but BOTH DAYS YOU SHOWED UP 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾
Always give yourself Grace and understanding ESPECIALLY on your not so hot days.
Hope this helps someone 🙏🏾

Back day workouts are essential for building a strong, balanced upper body, targeting key muscles such as the lats, traps, rhomboids, and the erector spinae. The use of appropriate dumbbell weights, like 10 to 15 pounds on sore days, helps maintain form and prevent injury while still promoting muscle engagement. Typically, increasing dumbbell weight to 20 or 25 pounds and performing 4 sets of 8-10 reps can help maximize strength gains when you feel strong. It’s important to listen to your body and adjust workouts accordingly. Recovery time is crucial when muscles are sore, which can be due to previous intense sessions or delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). Continuing activity with lower weights and fewer reps, as described, keeps you active without overexertion. Showing up consistently, regardless of feeling strong or weak, is key to progress. This mindset fosters discipline and prevents burnout. Self-compassion and grace on tougher days can reduce stress and improve long-term fitness adherence. Incorporating hashtags like #backday, #backdayworkout, #morningworkout, #showyourstrength, and #workout connects you with supportive communities sharing tips and motivation. Morning workouts are a great time to energize the body and support metabolic health. For those crafting back day routines, consider compound exercises such as rows, deadlifts, and pull-ups complemented by dumbbell isolation moves. Always focus on controlled movements and proper form to optimize results. Ultimately, every workout—whether with lighter weights or heavier—is a step toward your fitness goals. Embrace the journey, celebrate effort on every day, and keep inspiring yourself and others with your consistent dedication to strength and wellbeing.
