First Solo Trip to Sayulita, Mexico🌞👙

This past year I went on my first solo trip to Mexico and here are 3 things I did that made the trip so wonderful🌞🌊👙#solotraveling #sayulita #surf:

🌞 I stayed at the all girls hostel in Sayulita called "My sisters house," I immediately met some amazing friends who were also traveling alone for the first time and had a set of friends to go surf, explore the town, do yoga, and go out with at night!

🌞 Sayulita is amazing but I'd definitely look into some of the other beaches and towns to explore in the area as well (La lancha and San pancho were some of my favorite destinations ver close to Sayulita).

🌞 Don't be afraid to talk to people! Everyone in town was so friendly :) whether I was practicing ordering food in Spanish or chatting with vendors and storekeepers in English everyone was so welcoming and I never once felt lonely or uncomfortable even though I set out on this trip alone.

... Read moreTraveling solo can be one of the most enriching experiences you can have. In Sayulita, not only will you discover beautiful beaches and vibrant culture, but you'll also connect with fellow travelers. This charming seaside town is perfect for those who cherish adventure, relaxation, and making new friends. Consider participating in activities such as surfing, yoga, or even exploring nearby towns like San Pancho and La Lancha for a full experience. Solo travelers often find that stepping out of their comfort zone leads to rewarding interactions with locals and other travelers alike. Engaging in activities and joining group events can help you feel connected and safe during your journey. A crucial tip is to learn a few words of the local language. Saying simple greetings or ordering food in Spanish can create a sense of belonging and show respect for the culture. Since Sayulita attracts a variety of people, from backpackers to families, you'll never feel out of place. Keep your heart open and enjoy every moment, as every conversation could lead to new friendships and insights. Solo traveling not only builds confidence and independence but also leaves you with stories and memories that last a lifetime.

At first, I was debating if I should go alone and how safe it would be. But the people here were so sweet and caring and very helpful. I took this trip for healing and peace and just to get away from work life before the holidays and after this experience, I can honestly say it will not be my last!

Isla Mujeres: AMAZING food, insane water. Lots to do/see. Only downside is how touristy this island is. Holbox: my favorite of these beach towns, had such a great downtown - people outside dancing, good drinks, etc. Perfect blue water, walkable (car less island). Sisal: a great day trip from Me
