Visit Mystic Falls with me! 🩸

Okay, fellow Vampire Diaries obsessives, I just got back from the most epic trip to Covington, Georgia, and I have to share my experience visiting the real-life Mystic Falls! If you've ever dreamt of walking the same streets as Elena, Damon, and Stefan, this is your sign to go. My adventure truly began when I first laid eyes on the Mystic Grill exterior. It's like stepping right into the show! I made sure to experience Mystic Falls town square at night, as many of you search for. The Mystic Grill's neon sign glowed, and seeing the wooden double doors with "MYSTIC GRILL" etched on the glass was just perfect. Inside, the 'Great food, drinks & vibes' advertised are absolutely true. Grabbing a bite here is a non-negotiable part of the Mystic Falls experience, truly what Mystic Falls is known for among fans! Walking around Mystic Falls at night was magical. The historic brick clock tower building stood tall, illuminated against the dark sky, making the town square night feel incredibly authentic. The Mystic Falls night street lights added to the enchanting, mysterious ambiance, just like in the show. Of course, no trip to Mystic Falls would be complete without seeing the iconic homes. I practically squealed when I found Elena Gilbert's house! That familiar white house with its wide porch and columns, surrounded by green bushes, was surreal. It felt like Elena herself might walk out. Then there was Caroline's house, another recognizable white house with charming porch steps – perfect for a photo op! And the grandest of them all, Lockwood Mansion. This magnificent brick mansion with its large white columns is even more impressive in person, exactly how it looks in The Vampire Diaries. Beyond the main spots, I loved finding the smaller, fan-favorite details. Holding a novelty blood bag prop in front of the clock tower was silly but so much fun. I also stumbled upon a hexagonal paving stone engraved with "THE VAMPIRE DIARIES 2009" and a star – a little piece of history commemorating the show. For anyone looking for a luxurious stay, I noticed The Twelve Oaks Bed & Breakfast c.1836, a stunning mansion that perfectly fits the Mystic Falls aesthetic. Covington, GA truly embraces its identity as Mystic Falls. It's an immersive experience for any TVD enthusiast. From the classic Mystic Grill Covington exterior to the awe-inspiring Lockwood Mansion, every corner tells a story. If you're a "Vampire Diary girly" (or guy!), you absolutely have to add this to your travel list. You won't regret it!
