Protein Packed Orange Creamsicle Smoothie 🍊

Can you believe this smoothie is less than 350 calories and contains over 25g of protein? Not to mention, WITHOUT using any protein powder!?

The secret to this high protein—low cal smoothie combo is in the almond milk and Greek yogurt!

Silk has this amazing protein almondmilk (look for the one with the yellow on the packaging labeled “original protein”) packed with over 8g of protein per cup.

Oikos Triple Zero vanilla greek yogurt is my go to for all my smoothie recipes (you can’t beat 15g of protein and only 100 cals 🔥).

Orange Creamsicle Smoothie Recipe:

Ingredients:

• 1/2 frozen banana

• 1/4 cup frozen peaches

• 1/4 cup frozen mango

• 1/2 cup orange slices

• 1 cup Oikos Vanilla Triple Zero Greek Yogurt

• 1 1/4 cup Silk Protein Almond milk

Instructions:

1. Add in all fruit and yogurt to blender

2. Pour in almondmilk

3. Blend for 30 seconds

4. Pour into a cup and garnish with an orange slice

5. Enjoy 🍊

I love that this smoothie tastes just like an orange creamsicle and look forward to it every week!! Happy blending :)

... Read moreOkay, so you've seen those 'protein-packed' labels, but sometimes the idea of adding protein powder just doesn't sit right – maybe it's the taste, the texture, or just wanting to keep things more natural. That's exactly why I love this Orange Creamsicle Protein Smoothie! It's proof you don't need a scoop of powder to get a serious protein boost. I mean, over 25g of protein in one delicious drink, all from whole food ingredients? Yes, please! It feels so much lighter and tastes genuinely fresh, unlike some chalky shakes I've tried. Plus, it's perfect if you're trying to avoid certain additives or just prefer a cleaner ingredient list. It truly hits that sweet spot of creamy, dreamy orange flavor without any artificial aftertaste. My secret weapon for achieving that incredible protein count without powder lies in two unsung heroes: Silk Protein Almondmilk and Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt. Let's talk about the almond milk first. I discovered Silk Protein Almondmilk (the one with the yellow label, 'original protein' – just like the images show!) and it's a game-changer. It's not just regular almond milk; it's specifically formulated to deliver more protein, which is fantastic when you're aiming for a high-protein smoothie. Some people ask about 'almond cashew protein milk' or 'silk protein nut milk,' but I found this specific almond milk variant works wonders for my orange creamsicle protein smoothie. Pair that with Oikos Triple Zero vanilla Greek yogurt, and you've got a protein powerhouse. This yogurt is incredible, offering 15g of protein for just 100 calories! It gives the smoothie that essential creamy texture and a delightful vanilla tang that perfectly complements the orange. No need for a greek yogurt orange juice smoothie when you have fresh oranges and this amazing yogurt to blend. Getting the perfect consistency for your protein smoothie is key! I always use a 1/2 frozen banana and 1/4 cup each of frozen peaches and mango – these frozen fruits are essential for that thick, cold texture, almost like soft-serve. Don't skip them! When blending, I add all the fruit and yogurt first, then pour in the Silk Protein Almondmilk. This order really helps everything combine smoothly. If you're looking to enjoy your protein smoothie in a mason jar, it's a fantastic idea! Not only does it look super aesthetic, but it's also great for on-the-go. Just make sure to blend until completely smooth, typically about 30 seconds. And for that ultimate orange creamsicle protein shake experience, a fresh orange slice garnish really seals the deal. Regarding orange portion size, 1/2 cup of fresh orange slices adds a vibrant, tangy kick and natural sweetness without overwhelming the other flavors. If you're exploring other healthy options, while this isn't a carrot smoothie for weight loss, it's definitely a fantastic low-calorie, high-protein alternative that satisfies sweet cravings. I find myself looking forward to this healthy treat every week!
