What is your favorite study technique?

#letschat #lemon8contest

I am currently a college student who is struggling in chemistry. It’s so hard to learn, I have a white board and it’s doing me good but I just need some extra help on how to really study. I can’t focus on one thing for over 5-10 minutes and it’s really hard to stay on tract, does anyone have any techniques that I can try out?!

... Read moreFinding the right study techniques can greatly improve academic performance and make learning more enjoyable. For students who struggle with focus, especially in subjects like chemistry, incorporating active learning strategies can be beneficial. Techniques such as the Pomodoro Technique can help by breaking study sessions into shorter intervals of focused work followed by short breaks, making it easier to manage concentration. Another effective approach is to use visual aids like diagrams or mind maps to relate concepts visually, which can aid retention. Additionally, forming study groups can provide mutual support and motivation as well as expose students to different perspectives and methods of learning. Trying out these varied techniques can not only alleviate the struggle with studying but also lead to a more productive and enjoyable learning experience. Remember, every student is different, so it’s essential to find what works best for you!

Pom method. I also use this app called Forest to plant virtual trees that eventually help me plant a real tree. That motivates me to get work done. I was also told to work your assignments backwards - largest to smallest. Or, readings one day, discussions the next, quizzes after, etc…
