My Thoughts:

Holy Sh!!!!!t that was one hell of an ending!

We had the first gut wrenching plot twist that broke my heart. Afterwards when we think all is right with the world BAM let me sneak you a surprise unexpected heartbreaking plot twist that delivered!

The journey with our diviner started off with people important to her that had gone missing and lead to an even more shocking revelation. The banter, yearning, and love was beautifully written between our diviner and the love interest. Gargoyle was the MVP in the book (Literally). They were funny, emotional, serious, and the most faithful squire.

What pushed it down to a 4.75 was that I felt that there were moments the story dragged when introduced to the omens but once things started moving I could get into the groove of things once more.

Overall, I enjoyed the premise of how Rachel Gillig introduced Diviners, Gargoyles, the King, Knights, and the Omens. The story has been written beautifully as expected. Now I wonder how she will wrap it all up in the second book because she truly left us in such despair.
