"Midnight Song" by C.W. Rose.

CW Rose's "Midnight Song" uses the enchanting lens of romantasy to deliver a powerful narrative about distrust between cultures.

At its heart is the beautifully rendered, forbidden romance between a human girl, Angle, and Kaden, a Merman prince, whose love is a beacon of hope against a backdrop of war and deep-seated racial tension.

Rose's world-building is immersive, making the undersea kingdom of the Mer feel tangibly real. The characters are the true masterpiece, however. Angle's journey is one we easily invest in, while Kaden's struggle, balancing royal duty, familial betrayal, and his own heart, makes him an incredibly compelling protagonist.

This is a story that asks if love and understanding can prevail when history and politics conspire against them.

"Midnight Song" is an entertaining escape that also leaves a lasting impression, perfect for readers who enjoy their fantasy with substance.
