DELICIOUS home made cookies - for newbies! ✨
This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe! It’s so easy & makes the BEST cookies!
Recipe below 👇🏻
Ingredients:
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 1 3/4 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 2 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Brown the butter - let cool for 15-20 minutes
2. In a bowl combine brown butter, brown sugar, white sugar, egg & vanilla
3. In a separate bowl combined dry ingredients
4. 1 cup at a time add the dry to the wet ingredients
5. Fold in chocolate chips (or other inclusions)
6. Roll dough into balls & place on a parchment lined pan
7. Bake for 8-10 min at 350
✨TIPS!! ✨
- Make sure your brown butter is cooled to just before room temp or your chocolate will melt.
- The better the chocolate… the better the cookies
- The browner the butter the better the flavor (don’t burn it)
- If you have time after mixing the dough - let sit in the fridge for 30-1 hour or over night for a firmer more flavorful cookie
- I like to use bread flour for a chewier cookie but any flour will work!
I’ve made these no less than 12x and they come out different every time but get better with each batch!
GOOD LUCK!!!! 🍀

Baking chocolate chip cookies is a beloved tradition for many, and it's no surprise why. Chocolate chip cookies are not just delicious; they also provide a warm, comforting experience that brings back memories of childhood. To elevate your baking skills, consider experimenting with different types of chocolate chips such as dark, semi-sweet, or even white chocolate. Mixing in nuts like walnuts or pecans can add texture and flavor, making each cookie uniquely delightful. When it comes to baking cookies, the quality of ingredients plays a significant role. Using high-quality butter and chocolate can enhance the overall taste of your cookies. Additionally, chilling the dough before baking can lead to chewier cookies, as it allows the flavors to meld together and prevents spreading during baking. Don't forget to preheat your oven properly before baking; this ensures even cooking and helps achieve that perfect golden-brown color. If you're looking to personalize your cookies, adding a sprinkle of sea salt on top right before baking can create a satisfying contrast to the sweetness. You can also experiment with different baking times to find your perfect texture—longer for crispier cookies or shorter for softer ones. Happy baking!
