Day Two 🤌
Today after work I cut up an old tshirt and decided I was gonna push mow it ALL. I was short on steps and just wanted to honestly wanted to sweat my a#bad attitude off! It took me twice as long but in 1 hour 22 minutes and 3 seconds I had burned just about the same after my workout yesterday. Day two is done and tomorrow is a full body day 🤦🏻♀️
Starting a fitness journey can be as creative as you want it to be — sometimes it’s about finding unconventional ways to keep moving. I decided to cut up an old t-shirt as a makeshift workout accessory and committed to push mowing my entire yard after work. Not only did this help me reach my step goals for the day, but it also gave me a real sweat session, which was exactly what I needed to shake off some negativity. Interestingly, push mowing took me twice as long compared to some of my previous activities, but it was worth it because the calorie burn was comparable to my other workouts. It serves as a reminder that effective exercise doesn’t always require a gym or fancy equipment. Activities like mowing the lawn, gardening, or even cleaning can be powerful calorie burners when done at a steady pace. One of the unexpected benefits of customizing my workout this way was the mental boost. Sweating out a 'bad attitude' felt incredibly satisfying and made me eager to continue this new routine. Tomorrow promises a full body workout, and with the momentum from today, I’m really excited to see the progress ahead. For anyone looking to mix things up in their fitness routine or struggling to hit step counts, I highly recommend trying similar everyday activities. It’s a practical way to stay active, burn calories, and incorporate fitness into daily life without feeling like a chore. Plus, the accomplishment you feel at the end of the day is a great motivator to keep going.
