A waking dream 💭

Last year, I dreamed of a place I didn’t yet know.

A retreat, led by faces unfamiliar to me,

but heavy with the energy of destiny.

It didn’t make sense at the time—

I was with someone,

so my waking mind tried to fit him there,

forcing his presence into a vision

where he clearly did not belong.

But now, a year later,

I sit by the lake,

the sun kissing my face,

the volcanoes standing guard over the rising dawn.

Last night, in ceremony,

I met the others who had been called here,

and suddenly,

a realization washed over me—

I’ve been here before.

Not in this body,

not in this exact moment in time,

but in my spirit.

In the folds of some other timeline,

this place, this energy,

this *knowing*

has already lived in me.

I know what comes next.

Not because I control it,

but because I’ve been walking with God.

And God always shows the way.

In this stillness,

in the golden light of the new day,

I see it so clearly:

this dream wasn’t just a whisper of possibility.

It was a map.

And here I am,

exactly where I’m meant to be.

... Read moreMany of us have experienced dreams so vivid, so potent, that they linger long after we’ve awakened, blurring the lines between slumber and reality. Sometimes, these dreams feel like a glimpse into a 'better life,' leaving us wondering, 'why do I feel like I'm dreaming when I'm awake?' It's a profound sensation, a moment of déjà vu not just for a fleeting second, but for an entire experience unfolding before your eyes. That feeling of a 'waking dream' is precisely what washed over me as I found myself truly present in the very place my subconscious had visited a year prior. It’s more than just remembering a dream; it’s an undeniable recognition, a sense of having walked this path, felt this sun, and heard these sounds before. The serene lake, reflecting the vibrant hues of sunrise, the silhouetted mountains, and the spiritual energy of the retreat felt deeply familiar. It wasn't just a physical location, but an energetic blueprint imprinted on my soul. For those moments when a dream, perhaps one you had just '2 minutes before you wake up,' feels intensely significant, heed its call. Such dreams often serve as intuitive compasses, guiding us toward our true north. They can be maps, as mine proved to be, showing us destinations or paths we are meant to explore. The challenge lies in interpreting these whispers from the subconscious and having the courage to follow them, even when the waking mind tries to impose its own logic or expectations, as mine initially did with a past relationship. The beauty of an experience like this, especially within the tranquil embrace of nature, is how it amplifies that inner knowing. Surrounded by the gentle lapping of the lake, under the watchful gaze of ancient volcanoes, and bathed in the golden light of the new day, the clarity becomes undeniable. The images from my dream—the communal gatherings, the sense of profound connection, the feeling of being where I was destined to be—all manifested. From the wooden structures overlooking the vast waters to the simple beauty of a red hibiscus flower, every detail resonated with a deeper purpose. It’s a powerful reminder that sometimes, the universe communicates through our dreams, preparing us for what’s to come. This journey has taught me to trust that feeling of destiny, that inner tug that assures you are exactly where you're meant to be. It’s a journey of faith, of allowing oneself to be guided by something larger than our immediate understanding. If you’ve ever felt that dream-like quality seep into your waking life, take a moment to reflect. What is it trying to tell you? What map has your spirit already drawn for you? Pay attention to those profound dreams; they might just be leading you to your own predicted paradise, a place where your spirit feels truly at home.
