Which iPad is right for you? 🥰

Choosing an iPad from this lineup can be difficult but it doesn’t have to be! Which iPad do you have (or eyeing)? Happy to help you choose the best one for your needs & use cases 💜

... Read moreChoosing the right iPad in 2025 involves understanding the unique features and capabilities of each model to match your personal and professional needs. The lineup includes the standard iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro, each tailored for different user preferences and budgets. The basic iPad with the A16 chip, starting at $349 with 128GB storage, offers an affordable option for casual users focused on note-taking, media consumption, planning, and light creative work. Although it lacks some advanced features like Apple Intelligence and anti-reflective screen coatings, it supports Apple Pencil (3rd generation) and USB-C connectivity, making it a solid choice for students and everyday users. For those desiring a more compact yet powerful device, the iPad mini equipped with the A17 Pro chip and priced at $499 presents a small and mighty option. Its enhanced portability, Apple Pencil support, and USB-C connectivity make it ideal for on-the-go tasks such as gaming, reading, and media usage. However, the smaller screen and lack of compatibility with Apple’s Magic Keyboard might not meet all users’ needs. The iPad Air, running on the newer M3 chip with a price tag of $599, strikes a balance between performance and affordability. Known as the middle ground device, it supports Magic Keyboard in two sizes (11" and 13"), offers high storage capacity, and includes Apple Intelligence features. While it does not support ProMotion (60Hz refresh rate) or have an OLED display, it remains future-proofed and suitable for nearly all users looking for premium functionality without venturing into the pro-tier expense. At the high end, the iPad Pro models start at $999, powered by the M4 chip and available in 11" and 13" sizes with at least 256GB of storage. The Pro version features an ultra Retina XDR display, true depth camera system, ProRes video support, and optional nano-texture screens on higher storage configurations. Apple Pencil Pro and premium Magic Keyboard accessories complement the device, aiming at creators and professionals requiring top-tier performance. Despite its premium hardware, the Pro may be considered overkill for the majority given its high cost and specialized features. In summary, prospective buyers should assess their primary use cases—whether basic media consumption, portability needs, general productivity, or professional creative work—to select the iPad model that fits their lifestyle and budget. This guide is curated with insights from extensive usage across all models to help users confidently determine the right iPad for their 2025 needs.

I agree with this post. I was a major “pro” person. I always wanted a pro for the name … i now realize the pro is definitely NOT FOR ME. I pay all this money and i do not use the “pro” features! I now for the first time have an iPad Air 13’ and a Macbook air and sooo far soo great!
