Juicy, QQ and bouncy fried meatballs

After seeing some recommendations , I finally made my way to Huang Ah Yi Noodle in Yishun and I get the hype.

The star of the show? Their freshly handmade fried meatballs (炸肉圆). Made daily using a family recipe, they're juicy, QQ and bouncy, and have that comforting homemade taste that reminds you of grandma's cooking. ❤️

What makes it even more special is the story behind the stall. "Huang Ah Yi" is named after owner Wei Sheng's mum, whose food inspired the entire business. After surviving a cardiac arrest at just 22 years old, Wei Sheng started the stall 2 years later so that his mum wouldn't have to spend long hours working at the stall anymore. 🥹

We tried the following:

🍜 Aunty Special Noodle – a hearty bowl loaded with their signature ingredients, perfect if you're visiting for the first time.

🥢 Malaysian-style Mee Tai Mak – fragrant, savoury, and tossed with aromatic lard oil and dark sauce. Pair it with their freshly fried pork lard and it's seriously addictive.

🍳 Seasonal Fried Mee Kia – served with their flavour-packed secret broth that's perfect for dipping every bite.

If you're craving a bowl of comforting noodles with legit good handmade meatballs, this is a spot worth checking out.
