Outgrowing old versions of me.

I used to think this was just… life.

Wake up. Go to work.

Be grateful. Don’t complain.

Repeat the same days over and over again.

And for a long time, I convinced myself I was okay with that.

But deep down… I wasn’t.

I started feeling it slowly —

like I didn’t fit in my own life anymore.

Like there had to be more for me… even if I didn’t know what that looked like yet.

Outgrowing your old life is a weird feeling.

It’s uncomfortable.

It’s scary.

And honestly… it can feel a little lonely too.

But it also means you’re changing.

You’re waking up.

You’re becoming someone new.

And once you see that…

you can’t go back to the version of you who didn’t🦋🦋🦋

Have you ever felt like you outgrew your old life??

... Read moreOutgrowing the old versions of ourselves is a deeply personal process that often starts with a quiet realization that we no longer fit into the life we once accepted. From my own experience, this sensation can feel unsettling — as if you’re wearing clothes that used to fit but now cling awkwardly or restrict your movement. You begin to crave something more meaningful or authentic, even though it’s unclear what that 'more' truly is. The routine of waking up, going to work, and repeating the same cycle day after day can feel like a trap. At first, I tried to convince myself that this was normal life and I should be content. But underlying that acceptance was a subtle discomfort, signaling that I was outgrowing an old version of myself. Recognizing this discomfort was both scary and liberating because it meant change was inevitable. This transition period can feel isolating. Friends or colleagues may still be comfortable in their routines, and explaining your internal shift might be difficult. However, this loneliness also fosters a profound opportunity to reconnect with your true desires and values. It’s during these moments that I found journaling helpful — it provided clarity and allowed me to track my evolving self-awareness. Moreover, outgrowing your old life doesn’t mean discarding everything instantly. It’s more about shedding limiting beliefs and habits that no longer serve you. For example, I started exploring hobbies and side hustles that aligned with my passions, even if they were small steps. This gradual evolution helped me wake up each day with renewed purpose and excitement. If you find yourself feeling disconnected from your current life, I encourage you to trust that this is a sign of growth. Embrace the discomfort as a necessary part of your journey, and seek out communities or forums that support personal development and side hustles for beginners. Remember, becoming someone new is a transformation that enriches life with new possibilities — you’re not alone on this path, and there truly can be more for you, even if it’s not clear yet what that looks like.
