How I rebuilt myself after loss

Healing after loss doesn’t happen all at once.

For me, it came through small intentional decisions repeated daily.

Spending time in the Word when my mind felt overwhelmed.

Writing the emotions I couldn't always express.

Moving my body to release tension.

Allowing community to support me.

And slowing my life down enough to process and eventually find joy again.

If you're in a rebuilding season, take it one intentional step at a time.

I created the Purposeful Power digital resources and prayer cards to help women stay consistent in their healing journey through prayer, reflection, and intentional growth.

... Read moreHealing after a significant loss is never a quick or linear process—it's a deeply personal journey filled with ups and downs. From my own experience, I found that embracing small, consistent actions helped me regain a sense of control and hope. One powerful practice was staying in the Word, which provided comfort and guidance when my mind felt overwhelmed by grief. This spiritual grounding created a peaceful space for reflection and renewal. Journaling also became an essential tool in my healing. Writing down emotions honestly allowed me to confront feelings I couldn’t always express aloud, turning chaos into clarity. Moving my body—whether through gentle yoga, walks, or stretching—helped release built-up tension and reminded me of the resilience of my physical being. Community played a pivotal role in my recovery. Allowing trusted friends and support groups to walk alongside me softened the isolation that loss can bring. Their presence reminded me that I was not alone in my struggles. Finally, I learned the importance of slowing life’s pace. Giving myself permission to pause meant I could process my pain more deeply and eventually open up to joy again. This intentional deceleration was crucial in reclaiming my energy and spirit. For anyone navigating a rebuilding season, taking these intentional steps daily can build a foundation for healing. Digital resources like prayer cards and guided reflections, such as those offered by Purposeful Power, can provide extra encouragement and consistency on this path. Remember, healing is not about rushing but about showing up for yourself with patience and compassion every day. This mindful approach fosters purposeful growth and gentle transformation.
