Morning Skincare Regimen 🧴✨
I've built this routine over the years and its what best has helped me ❤️ I have combo acne prone skin type for
reference👇🏽
1- Cleanser: I've been using Cerave for over 5 years and I love it but recently SkinBetter sent me their cleanser and it's truly amazing. Now I use both of them😍
2- Face towels: I saw a lot of people recommending the clean skin club towels for their benefits as regular towels keep a lot of bacteria with them so I decided to give them a try and l've definitely seen changes✨
3- Hydrating Serum: I don't even have to say anything. We all love the snail mucin of Cosrx. A total piece of art🤌🏽
4- Vitamin C: this is one of the products my dermatologist told me to invest the most money on and the one from SkinBetter science has been the one that has helped my skin the most. It's worth every penny👌🏽
5- Eye cream: I've been using the Phix eye cream and I don't love it but l like it enough. Honestly I haven't found any eye cream that is a miracle yet🤍
6- Moisturizer: the holy Grail of all the girlies, one of the best products from La Roche Posay😍
7- Sunscreen: my absolute favorite product of my whole skincare routine, the smart tone sunscreen from SkinBetter Science, great ingredients and gives you nice radiant results🫶🏽

It's amazing how a good skincare routine can truly transform your skin, and for me, Cerave has been a consistent hero, especially when dealing with combination and acne-prone skin. While my current routine blends several fantastic brands, I want to dive a bit deeper into why Cerave often forms the foundation for many, including myself, and how you can build a more comprehensive 'Cerave regimen' if that's what you're looking for. My journey with Cerave started years ago because of its reputation for being gentle yet effective, packed with ceramides that are crucial for repairing and maintaining a healthy skin barrier – something acne-prone skin desperately needs. The gel-based foaming facial cleanser for oil control is a standout. It's fantastic for removing excess oil without stripping your skin, which is a common mistake when dealing with breakouts. Many also love the refining cleanser that gently exfoliates if you need a little extra help with texture and preventing clogged pores, but remember to introduce exfoliants slowly! Beyond just the cleanser, integrating more Cerave products can truly elevate your routine. After cleansing, especially in the morning, a lightweight moisturizer is key. Cerave's AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 is a brilliant multi-tasker if you want to streamline. It provides hydration and sun protection in one step – saving time and keeping your routine simple. If you prefer a separate sunscreen, their Daily Moisturizing Lotion is a classic for good reason; it's non-comedogenic and provides lasting hydration without feeling heavy. For those with persistent congestion or breakouts, Cerave also offers targeted treatments. Their Resurfacing Retinol Serum, used judiciously a few nights a week, can help improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of post-acne marks. Remember, consistency is vital with retinol, and always follow up with sunscreen! My personal experience has taught me that while it's tempting to bombard acne-prone skin with harsh treatments, a gentle, barrier-supporting approach often yields better, longer-lasting results. Cerave excels at this. It allows your skin to heal and strengthen itself, making it more resilient against future breakouts. So, if you're looking to build or refine your 'Cerave regimen,' start with a cleanser suited to your needs (foaming for oil control, or the SA cleanser for gentle exfoliation), follow with a lightweight, hydrating moisturizer, and don't forget broad-spectrum SPF as your final morning step. This simple yet powerful trio can make a significant difference, just as my long-standing use of their cleanser has been a cornerstone of my own successful routine.
