It’s completely true.

I just don’t care.

Call it being fed up. Call it perimenopause. Call it just being exhausted.

But I was a people pleaser my whole life. And finally, there one last drama. One last inconvenience.

And I just don’t care anymore.

Not from just one the person who caused the drama. Everyone.

It was like my eyes opened. And all kinds of opportunities starting happening when I focused on myself.

Letting go of that unnecessary emotional baggage was liberating. Instead of feeling guilty or selfish, I embraced the opportunity to focus more on self-care and personal growth. This mindset shift can open the floodgates to new opportunities—whether it's pursuing passions that were once sidelined, improving mental health, or simply feeling more confident in daily decisions. The key is acknowledging that it’s okay to prioritize your own wellness before accommodating everyone else’s drama. Additionally, many women going through perimenopause describe similar feelings of exhaustion and emotional change, which can accelerate the decision to set firm boundaries. If you resonate with these feelings, know that you’re not alone, and it’s perfectly fine to say "I just don’t care" about things that drain you emotionally. In summary, embracing this detachment does not mean becoming indifferent in a negative sense; rather, it’s about cultivating a healthy distance from unnecessary stress and investing your energy in what truly nurtures your confidence and healing.
