Triple Chocolate Oreo Pudding Cake
Ingredients
* 1 box Betty Crocker Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
* Ingredients called for on the cake mix box (eggs, oil, and water)
* 1 family-size box Jell-O Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix
* Milk (amount called for on the pudding package)
* Chocolate chips (measure with your heart!)
* Crushed Oreo cookies (plus extra for topping)
* 2 (8 oz) tubs Cool Whip
* 1 small box Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix (dry powder only)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x11-inch baking dish.
2. Prepare the cake mix according to the package directions.
3. In a separate bowl, prepare the family-size chocolate pudding according to the package directions and let it thicken.
4. Fold half of the prepared pudding into the cake batter until well combined.
5. Stir in chocolate chips and crushed Oreos—measure with your heart!
6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on your oven. The center may still have a slight jiggle when you remove it. Let the cake cool completely.
7. Mix the remaining prepared chocolate pudding with one tub of Cool Whip until smooth.
8. In another bowl, mix the second tub of Cool Whip with the dry vanilla pudding mix (do not prepare it first). Refrigerate for a bit so it thickens.
9. Spread the vanilla Cool Whip mixture over the cooled cake.
10. Top with the chocolate pudding Cool Whip mixture.
11. Finish with plenty of crushed Oreos and refrigerate until ready to serve. #chocolatecake #chocolate #tiktokrecipecontest #homemade #easyrecipe
If you're a fan of rich and indulgent chocolate desserts, this Triple Chocolate Oreo Pudding Cake is an absolute must-try. What I love about this recipe is how it layers textures and flavors using simple ingredients like Betty Crocker's chocolate fudge cake mix and Jell-O instant puddings. The addition of crushed Oreos and chocolate chips adds bursts of crunch and extra chocolatey goodness that make every bite special. One tip I found helpful is to not overbake the cake; it’s okay if the center jiggles slightly when pulled from the oven because it continues to set as it cools. This ensures the cake stays moist and fudgy rather than drying out. I also recommend measuring chocolate chips and crushed Oreos according to your preference — the recipe jokes to “measure with your heart,” and that really allows you to customize its richness and crunch. The pudding and Cool Whip layers provide a luscious creamy finish that balances the denser cake base. Combining the chocolate pudding with Cool Whip creates a smooth, silky topping, while mixing the vanilla pudding powder directly into Cool Whip results in a fluffy, mildly sweet layer beneath it. Refrigerating the cake for several hours or overnight enhances the melding of flavors and makes slicing much easier. From my experience, this recipe is perfect for gatherings or when you want an impressive yet easy-to-make dessert. Plus, it uses only a few ingredients you likely already have on hand, making it accessible for any baker. For an extra touch, try sprinkling additional crushed Oreos on top or even adding a drizzle of chocolate syrup for presentation. Overall, this Triple Chocolate Oreo Pudding Cake is an irresistible treat that beautifully combines the familiar flavors of chocolate, pudding, and Oreos into one cohesive and delicious dessert. Whether you're serving it for a celebration or a casual get-together, it’s sure to please any chocolate lover’s palate.
