After trying different approaches, incorporating these 5 habits immediately after waking up has truly transformed my mornings. First, I make sure to drink water with electrolytes. This not only rehydrates me but also helps reduce my cortisol levels early, unlike my previous habit of grabbing coffee right away which would spike my stress hormones. Getting sunlight exposure within 10 minutes of waking has also made a big difference. It resets my cortisol rhythm naturally, improves my mood, and seems to support fat metabolism throughout the day. For breakfast, I focus on getting about 25-30 grams of protein. This keeps my hormones stable and energy levels consistent, reducing those mid-morning cravings that often lead to overeating. Gentle physical activity, like a short walk or stretching session, lowers my stress hormones further and sets a calm tone for my day. Finally, swapping my usual coffee for a cortisol-supportive herbal drink helped me beat belly bloat and maintain better energy. Consistency with these simple morning habits has helped me lose weight and drastically reduce bloating. It’s amazing how small changes upon waking can lead to lasting health benefits and a happier, more energized day.
