Vulnerable moment. Late 20s girl talk✨♡

#GirlTalk #lemon8challenge

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the life I thought I’d have by now , the version I had in my head. The body, the confidence, the success, the happiness.

I look back at old pictures, and sometimes I see what was once my “dream body.” And yet here I am, feeling like I have to start all over again coz I feel I let myself go. It’s strange how you can look at yourself from the past and realize you were once living the things you prayed for and still, it didn’t feel like enough.

It makes me wonder: how do you know when you’re really happy? How do you know when you’ve arrived at “enough”?

The truth is, I’ve been doing all the things I thought would lead to a better life working on myself, chasing dreams, trying to level up and yet, sometimes I’m left with this quiet feeling that something’s still missing.

And I know I’m not alone in this. So many of us, especially as we step into our late twenties, carry this mix of gratitude and restlessness. We want to be better, we want to be proud, but we also wonder: when do we just get to rest in who we are right now?

My takeaways:

• You can love who you were, love who you’re becoming, and still wrestle with where you are now.

• Even when you “have it all,” it’s normal to wonder what’s next.

• You are allowed to hold joy and longing at the same time.

• Being a work in progress doesn’t make you unworthy of peace or love.

For the girls out there:

Do you ever feel this way too? Like you’re proud of how far you’ve come but still wondering if it’s enough? Let’s talk about it in the comments I would love to hear how you’re navigating this season.

... Read moreEntering your late 20s can be a unique journey marked by both nostalgia and uncertainty. Many face a pivotal transition where past dreams collide with current realities. This blend often fosters feelings of vulnerability as individuals seek to reconcile their ideal self with their present situation. As women reflect on their achievements, an undercurrents of doubt may arise about whether they are truly happy or if they've reached their version of 'enough.' It's crucial to understand that these feelings are universal. Societal pressures often amplify the quest for perfection, leading many to question their self-worth despite tangible success. To address these sentiments, engaging in self-reflection and open communication with peers can be significantly beneficial. Sharing experiences in platforms like #GirlTalk fosters a sense of solidarity among women navigating similar paths. Moreover, focusing on self-compassion is key. A balance between aspiration and contentment allows women to appreciate their journeys while embracing ongoing growth. Recognizing that it’s normal to feel both gratitude and restlessness is part of being human. Thus, create space for these emotions, and remember that questioning your progress does not diminish your value or achievements. Let this season be an opportunity for open dialogues, encouraging vulnerability, and authenticity. Engage with your community and cultivate connections, ensuring everyone knows they are not alone in their journey.

Yes I get this completely! I have come a far way but I also wish I had this mindset when I was younger because I would be a lot farther but I don’t want to focus on the past I just want to be better
