Which Hair Type Am I ?
** There is no product in my hair, this is the texture undisturbed**
This is a long time coming because my natural hair journey started in middle school , big chopped in HS, Big chopped again in college and I’m on my third big chop now as an almost 27 year old woman and I’ve never really thought about which “category” my hair falls in. However recently someone commented on one of my videos telling me their hair looks very similar to mine & asking which type I fall into and honestly I didn’t know what answer to give because it never really mattered. But now I want to know what the general consensus is and if my guess is right? Which Hair Type do you think I am? Leave a comment ⬇️ & which one are you? Whats your fave natural hairstyles ⬇️

Understanding your hair type is crucial for selecting the right products and styles. Hair types are generally categorized into four types: straight, wavy, curly, and coily, each with its unique characteristics. To identify your hair type, start by assessing the curl pattern when your hair is clean and product-free. You can experiment with different hairstyles that flatter your specific hair type. For those with curly or kinky hair, moisture retention is key to maintaining healthy locks. Many individuals also find that incorporating protective styles helps reduce breakage and promotes growth. Exploring community resources, such as natural hair forums and social media groups, can provide additional support and advice tailored to your hair type. Don't forget to share your own hair journey and favorite hairstyles! Engagement in the natural hair community is a fantastic way to learn from others and gather insights to enhance your hair care routine.
