I had my baby 4 weeks early
Hello mamas! I had my baby last Sunday. The weirdest thing happened. My water broke Thursday, March 27th, I was in labor for 3 days before he decided to come. He was born on March 30th!
Since he was technically a “preemie” (even though he was the size of a full term) we had to stay in the hospital for 48 hours instead of 24.
He gave me 2 degree lacerations, I had to have 15+ stitches, another reason we had to stay longer.
I wanted to share my story and encourage other mamas to share theirs with me too!

Having a baby prematurely can be a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences. Many first-time moms find themselves unprepared for the unexpected twists that come with preterm labor. It’s essential to understand that preterm babies, or ‘preemies’, can be physically ready for the world, yet their early arrival may necessitate additional medical care. Common reasons for premature births can include various health conditions or complications with the mother, like high blood pressure or infections. It's important for expectant mothers to monitor their health and communicate openly with their healthcare providers. For those going through similar experiences, joining online support groups can be incredibly beneficial. Platforms such as forums or social media groups provide a space for moms to connect, share their stories, and seek advice from those who have walked a similar path. The hashtag #PreemieMom is a supportive community where mothers can share their challenges and victories, making them feel less isolated during this hectic time. Ultimately, each birth story is unique, and acknowledging the rollercoaster journey of motherhood—especially with a preterm baby—can foster understanding and solidarity among moms.

I had a cryptic pregnancy. She was confirmed on my sister’s bday who passed 9 years prior. Seen her for the first time at 27wks. Later that week I got a call saying my blood type could kill her off cause if I gotten sick my body wouldn’t recognize she’s a fetus. Went in at 28 wks to get my shot. 1/2
