Spending quality time with my godson truly reminded me how important it is to build lasting memories with the young ones in our lives. Over the weekend, it was amazing to see how much he had grown physically and in spirit since we last met a year ago. One of the highlights was riding scooters together, an activity that brought out both fun and a bit of healthy competition. What really touched my heart was how we turned playtime into an opportunity to teach giving back. We crafted together and decided to donate some of his cherished toys to the Trinket, which felt like a meaningful way to share joy with others in need. It's incredible how these small acts can inspire children to appreciate generosity from an early age. I also noticed a funny moment when he was bending better than me — kids really do grow faster and get more agile! These spontaneous and playful moments strengthen the bond between godparent and godchild, making the relationship truly special. For anyone fortunate enough to have a godchild or close young family member, my advice is to actively participate in their interests and find creative ways to connect. Whether it’s through outdoor play, crafts, or charitable acts, these shared experiences become cherished memories that both of you will carry forward. Ultimately, the time and care we invest in these relationships enrich us as much as they do the kids. I’m already looking forward to many more weekends filled with laughter, learning, and adventure.
