The Sweetest 16 ✨🩷🙏🏽

I remember being 16 years old and finding out my entire life is about to be flipped turned upside down.

As this day approaches, I prayed my daughter will be nothing like me. Not just my oldest but my youngest too. I pray they can be their own person and won’t give in to peer pressure. Both my daughters already witnessed friends getting pregnant between 14-16 years old and how much their lives have changed. It’s been a fear of mine them walking the same footsteps as me. I want them to have what I gave up. I want them to accomplish their goals.

I’m extremely open and honest with my daughters. If I shelter them too much they will just go ask another source. && that other source is …. BINGO! Their peers who 85% of the time will not know the answer either.

Anyways we made it to Sweet 16! This girl of mine is better than I could ever be. She is absolutely graceful in all she does. She deserved every penny this party cost.

BUT TO MY FELLOW PARENTS OUT THERE. This was a two week planning. She canceled back in August after everything, I mean everything was booked and paid for. Luckily I got my deposits back. Then two weeks before her birthday she begged for one.

I don’t know how I did it but it happened and thank the Lord for it falling into place.

Her dress was the biggest worry. Normally it takes a month to have it made. We got it in 10 days and it fit perfect. Both dresses came in time.

My youngest informed me she will have a sweet 16 and won’t cancel so I can start planning now lol she’s 12! But here’s how it turned out 🩷
