Hey, fellow survivors! If you're diving into Resident Evil Requiem, chances are you've stumbled upon the Blister Borne – and if you're like me, it probably gave you a run for your money! I remember my first few encounters with this grotesque creature; it felt like an impossible challenge. But after a lot of frustrating attempts and experimenting with different tactics, I finally figured out its patterns and weaknesses. I'm excited to share my personal strategy with you, so you can conquer this boss without all the headaches I went through! First things first: preparation is absolutely crucial. Before you even think about stepping into the Blister Borne's lair, make sure your inventory is well-stocked. I found that a powerful shotgun is your best friend for dealing heavy damage when opportunities arise, especially if you can get up close. For precision shots and managing regular enemies leading up to the fight, a reliable handgun is essential. And please, don't skimp on healing items! You'll likely take some hits, and having a few First Aid Sprays or herbs can be the difference between victory and a quick 'Game Over.' Now, let's talk about the Blister Borne itself. This boss is a truly revolting spectacle, covered in festering pustules that aren't just for show – they're your primary targets! Its main attacks usually involve a quick, powerful charge and a nasty ranged acid spit. The trick I learned is to stay mobile. Don't try to stand your ground and tank hits; circle strafing is your friend. When it lunges, try to dodge into the attack and to the side. This often grants you a brief moment to get a few shots in on its exposed back or flanks. Pay close attention to its body; after certain attacks or when it's momentarily staggered, some of those blisters will glow or become more prominent. That's your cue to unleash hell! I noticed the fight generally has a couple of distinct phases. In the initial phase, focus on dodging its charges and using your handgun to pop any glowing blisters you can safely target. Each popped blister deals significant damage and can sometimes even stun the Blister Borne, giving you a precious opening. As you deal more damage, it tends to get more aggressive, sometimes retreating to higher ground or a specific spot in the arena to rain down acid projectiles. When this happens, immediately find cover! Once its acid attack subsides, it often exposes a much larger, more vulnerable blister – usually on its chest or head. This is your prime opportunity to switch to your shotgun, get in close, and blast away! Don't linger too long, though; it recovers quickly. Resource management is key throughout this battle. Don't be afraid to use your healing items when your health drops into the yellow or red zone. It's better to heal and stay in the fight than to try and tough it out. Conserve your shotgun ammo for those high-damage weak points, and use your handgun for continuous pressure and popping smaller blisters. Sometimes, there are extra ammo and healing pickups scattered around the arena, so keep an eye out if you're running low. The Blister Borne will become faster and more relentless as its health dwindles, so stay calm and stick to your strategy. Keep moving, prioritize those glowing weak points, and don't panic. The satisfaction of finally seeing that last blister burst and this monstrosity collapse is immense! You've got this, survivor!

I really hated this fight.
