Our love story…41yrs of love, laughter and tears.
41yrs and counting…My fiancé and I fell in love at first sight. He tells me every single day how beautiful I am even though I’m not feeling it. He tells me “I love you” numerous times a day. He notices little things like my elbow hurting from us sitting at the table talking for hours. He will put napkins under my elbow to cushion it. When we are sharing food he makes me eat first and he makes sure I eat half. He mails me cards just to tell me he loves me. We hold hands, stare into each other’s eyes, laugh at his jokes and he tells me he loves to hear me laugh. We can be in a crowded room and it feels like we are the only people there because we are so focused on each other. There have been things that almost broke us, things that brought lots of yelling, fighting and tears but when we have a disagreement he always gives in first telling me he was wrong and he loves me. It’s difficult only getting to see each other 2 hours a week and then only getting to hug and kiss when we say hello and when we say goodbye there’s no touching other than that. The rest of the week we talk on the phone every single day for an hour a day. We make it work because our love is strong and we don’t control it… it controls us. Our love has withstood everything that comes our way. A love like ours is rare…if you are blessed enough to find that special someone you need to love them with all you’ve got.
