Stand on the Wall
📖 Ezekiel 33
God is still raising watchmen.
Not perfect people. Not famous people. Not people who have it all together.
But surrendered people willing to stand in obedience.
“So you, son of man, I have made a watchman…” — Ezekiel 33:7 NKJV
A watchman stays awake while others sleep.
They pray when others grow distracted. They discern when others ignore warning signs. They speak truth when silence would be easier.
And honestly, being a watchman can feel lonely sometimes.
Because when God opens your eyes spiritually, you begin seeing things differently: • compromise that others normalize • wounds hidden behind smiles • spiritual attacks others overlook • people quietly drifting from God • hearts starving for truth and love
But the call of a watchman is not to become harsh, fearful, or prideful.
The goal is never condemnation. The goal is restoration.
A true watchman carries the heart of the Shepherd.
They do not scream from the wall to destroy people… They sound the trumpet hoping people return safely home.
And before a watchman ever speaks publicly, they must first learn to pray privately.
Prayer is where discernment is sharpened. Prayer is where burdens are carried. Prayer is where compassion is formed.
Some of you have felt God stirring your heart lately: • to pray deeper • to speak up • to encourage others • to step into ministry • to warn lovingly • to live differently from the world around you
That stirring is not random.
God is still calling people to stand on the wall in this generation.
The question is: Will you answer Him?
🌾 Reflection: • What has God been burdening your heart about lately? • Have fear or insecurity kept you from obeying Him? • How can you become more spiritually alert and prayerful daily?
🙏 Prayer: Father, help me stand faithfully in the place You have called me. Give me discernment, compassion, humility, and courage. Teach me to love people deeply while remaining rooted in truth. Let my life point others back to the Shepherd. In Yeshua’s name, Amen.
