1st quarter of Respiratory Therapy is done ‼️

I officially passed my first quarter of Respiratory Therapy school 🫁🩺

And not just passed… I finished with 3 A’s and 2 B’s 🤍

Was it easy? Absolutely not.

Late nights, information overload, self-doubt, and learning how to balance life + school were REAL. But this quarter taught me that I can do hard things — even when I feel overwhelmed or unsure.

I’m so proud of myself for showing up, pushing through, and staying committed to my goal. This is just the beginning, but this win means everything right now 🫶🏽

Here’s to growth, grit, and becoming the RT I’m working so hard to be ✨

... Read moreCompleting the first quarter of Respiratory Therapy (RT) school marks a significant milestone in the journey toward becoming a skilled healthcare professional. This phase often involves intense dedication, as students grapple with complex coursework and clinical skills essential for patient care. One of the key challenges many RT students face is balancing coursework with personal life demands, which can feel overwhelming. However, this initial quarter is crucial for building a strong foundation. The process includes mastering concepts related to respiratory anatomy, physiology, and the practical use of medical equipment such as ventilators and oxygen therapy devices. Achieving high academic grades, like 3 A’s and 2 B’s, reflects not only intellectual mastery but also effective time management and resilience—qualities vital for future healthcare providers. Moreover, the image highlighting "25% AT We made it" symbolizes progress not just academically but emotionally and mentally as well. It’s a reminder that 25% of the journey is complete, which can be motivating for RT students facing the demanding path ahead. Being part of communities such as #RespiratoryTherapyStudent and #FutureRT is valuable for ongoing support and shared experiences, helping students overcome self-doubt and information overload. For those embarking on this path, it’s important to recognize that late nights and challenges are common but temporary hurdles. Techniques such as structured study schedules, mindfulness practices, and seeking peer support can mitigate stress. Celebrating these incremental wins is essential to maintaining motivation and commitment to becoming a competent, compassionate respiratory therapist. In summary, the first quarter completion is a testament to growth, grit, and readiness to face future challenges in the RT profession. Those who push through these demanding beginnings are laying the groundwork for a career that will impact many lives through expert patient respiratory care.
