✨ History was made this weekend 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

I had the honor of representing The QMNTY Continuum at Sewickley's very first Pride celebration and what an incredible day it was.

Even with the rain, our community showed up.

At a time when many LGBTQIA+ people (especially our transgender siblings) are facing increasing attacks, discrimination, and attempts to erase our identities and rights, this day was a reminder that love is louder than fear. It reminded us that community is stronger than division. People still came. They still celebrated. They still chose to stand beside one another.

Families, friends, allies, and even plenty of adorable pets filled the event with joy. The performances were incredible, the atmosphere was welcoming, and every smile was a reminder that Pride is more than a celebration! It's resilience, visibility, and hope.

I was proud to spend the day at The QMNTY Continuum table sharing information about the QMNTY Center, QMNTY Closet, QMNTY Pantry, and our upcoming programs and events.

It was wonderful meeting new people, building connections, networking with other organizations, and helping people discover resources that can truly make a difference.

Seeing Sewickley embrace its very first Pride gives me so much hope for the future. This wasn't just a successful event despite the rain, it was a powerful reminder that our community continues to show up for one another, even when the world feels heavy.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, organized, and supported this historic day. You helped make history, and you helped create a space where people could simply exist, be celebrated, and know they belong.

Moments like these remind me why I do this work. It feels good to be out in the community, serving people, building connections, and helping create spaces where everyone is welcome.

Here's to the first of many Sewickley Pride celebrations. I'll definitely be back next year. 💜🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

... Read moreAttending Sewickley’s first Pride event truly highlighted how impactful community gatherings can be in promoting awareness and solidarity among LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies. Even with persistent rain, the turnout was a testament to the unwavering spirit of those who believe in equality and inclusion. From personal experience, participating in such events creates an uplifting atmosphere full of joy, resilience, and authentic connection. One of the most meaningful takeaways from this celebration was seeing how diverse groups—including families, pets, and advocates—came together to support transgender rights, reminding us all that visibility plays a critical role in combating misinformation and discrimination. The QMNTY Continuum's presence offering resources like the QMNTY Center, Closet, and Pantry showed the importance of accessible support systems that meet various community needs. These programs exemplify how outreach can lead to real-life impact by providing essential services and fostering belonging. Through networking with other organizations and engaging attendees, it became clear that Pride events are not just parties; they are essential platforms for education, activism, and mutual care. This aligns with the recognition that despite ongoing challenges faced by transgender and other LGBTQIA+ people, community solidarity creates strength and hope. For future Pride celebrations, continuing to embrace inclusivity and offering welcoming spaces is vital. Sharing stories, resources, and lived experiences fosters understanding and dismantles stigma. Attending or supporting local Pride events can be deeply rewarding as they empower individuals to be themselves openly and proudly while building friendships and alliances. Overall, celebrating Sewickley’s first Pride was a powerful reminder that love truly is louder than fear and division. It is a call to action for everyone to keep showing up, standing up, and celebrating diversity in all its beautiful forms.

This Animal Was Erased From History… Or Was It?
Declared extinct in 1936, the thylacine was erased from the world on paper. But reports never stopped. This wasn’t a tiger or a dog. It was a marsupial predator with behaviors that still puzzle scientists today. No conclusions. No debunking. Just the facts, the history, and the mystery.

I have encountered a lot of assumptions in my practice, especially from opposing religions. The main argument I have an issue with is the belief that witches hurt animals or humans for their magical doings….. while this argument can be upheld for very very ancient times, especially aztec mythology…
