some of my oc's as chibi pt2

Hey Lemon8 fam! So thrilled to share the second part of my chibi OC showcase with you all. If you loved the first batch, you're in for another treat with these adorable characters I've been working on! First up, we have Eska, my fiery red-haired chibi with the sweetest freckles! She's often seen with her mischievous dragon-like companions, Turkey (the dark blue one) and Yeet (the green one). Designing her was all about capturing a bold but charming spirit, and I think her freckles really add to her unique charm. You can see how much personality a small detail like that adds to a chibi character! Then there's Rit3y, a whimsical character with unique deer-like legs. She's rarely without her fluffy, sheep-like friend, Donut. I wanted to give her a soft, earthy vibe, almost like a forest spirit. Finding the right balance between cute and mystical is always a fun challenge in chibi oc drawing. And meet Ily, with her striking white and black hair, always ready to capture a moment with her camera and clipboard. She’s got a very systematic yet creative energy about her, which I tried to convey through her accessories. It’s amazing how much story you can tell with just a few elements in a chibi design. You'll also get a sneak peek at some work-in-progress sketches (wips), including my upcoming chibis Peony and Poppy. It's always fun to see how characters evolve from just an outline! The initial blue outline sketch is where the magic really begins. Ever wondered how to bring your own chibi ocs to life? It's easier and more fun than you think! When I start my chibi oc drawing, I focus on exaggerated features. Think huge heads, expressive eyes, and tiny, stylized bodies. This is what gives chibis their undeniable cuteness! Chibi artstyles can vary wildly, but the core is always about simplification and maximizing the adorable factor. Don't be afraid to play with proportions. For example, Eska's freckles aren't just dots; they add so much personality and a touch of realism to her otherwise fantastical design. Before drawing, I love to jot down ideas for my characters' personalities, backstories, and unique traits. Does your OC have a special pet like Donut, Turkey, or Yeet? Do they carry a quirky item like Ily's camera? These small details can make your character truly unique. When sketching, start with basic shapes. A circle for the head, a rectangle for the body. Don't worry about perfection in your initial wips. That's where the magic happens – refining and adding details like hair, clothing, and accessories. These are key to making your OC distinct.
