We’re a normal couple!
This @SMOSH video with @Amanda Lehan-Canto and @Damien Haas has lived rent free in our heads as a vocal stim around the studio since we saw it! We knew we had to recreate it’s majesty when while we were in our Team Rocket Cosplay for @MomoCon Official
We even got to throw in our Pride Pals for the beginning bit! Thanks for enjoying our silly little art and our silly little content! And thanks to @sarah and @Aubrielle | Dancer for being the best partners in silly crime.
Participating in cosplay events like MomoCon has been one of my most enriching experiences. Dressing up as iconic characters from the Pokémon universe, especially Team Rocket, allows for a playful yet creative outlet that combines fandom passion with personal expression. Adding elements like the Pride Pals at the start not only honors LGBTQ+ visibility but also adds a meaningful layer to our performance. What makes recreating a viral video so gratifying is how it connects us with the community—fans recognize the homage, and it sparks conversations around creativity and inclusion. In the process, I realized how much fun it is to blend different interests, from pop culture to activism, into one vibrant moment on stage or in video form. The vocal stim inspired by the @SMOSH video stayed with us long after we watched it, proving how powerful a simple piece of content can be in inspiring new creations. Collaborating with friends who are equally enthusiastic about silly crime and silly art enhances the experience, fostering friendships and unforgettable memories. If you're thinking about cosplay or participating in conventions like MomoCon, consider integrating elements that reflect your identity and values. It makes the experience more authentic and impactful. Plus, it's a fantastic way to meet like-minded individuals who appreciate the whimsical and heartfelt nuances of fandom. Finally, owning and caring for a cat together, as mentioned in the OCR content, reflects another layer of normalcy and shared responsibility that balances the vivid energy of our cosplay life. Whether you're a fangirl or fanboy or simply love creative self-expression, embracing all facets of your life makes your storytelling richer and more relatable.
