🏳️🌈🏳️🌈Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Pride is and always was a protest and we still have so much work to do but we also wish you so much Queer Joy during this month of June!
Everyone here at Kitty With A Cupcake is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and we super appreciate you shopping small this June! We love to give back during this month and donate 10% of all website sales to @TrevorProject which works year round to provide life saving mental health care to Queer youth!
How did we do on our first ever attempt at an animation?
Celebrating Pride Month is not only about vibrant parades and joyful gatherings, but it’s also a powerful reminder of ongoing struggles and the resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community. As someone who has closely followed Pride events and supported queer-owned businesses, I’ve found that this month brings an important blend of reflection, activism, and community spirit. Shopping small and choosing to support queer entrepreneurs like Kitty With A Cupcake amplifies voices and fosters a sense of solidarity. What makes their initiative even more inspiring is their commitment to donating 10% of their sales to the Trevor Project, which provides crucial mental health resources specifically tailored for LGBTQIA+ youth. This kind of support is vital, considering the increased mental health challenges faced by queer youth, including discrimination and social exclusion. Additionally, embracing the creative expressions emerging during Pride, such as animations and artwork, strengthens visibility and cultural pride. I've personally enjoyed engaging with queer artists who channel their authentic experiences into art, helping foster understanding and acceptance. Pride is a multifaceted movement—it's joyful, it's protest, and it’s a call to action. By supporting events and businesses during this month, we contribute to a larger mission of equality and mental health awareness. Whether you’re attending a parade, shopping from a queer creator, or donating to organizations like the Trevor Project, every act matters. In this season of celebration and advocacy, don’t forget that Pride is happiness (HAPP!) in its purest form—celebrating identity, progress, and hope for a more inclusive future.
