I need help!
So I’ll be moving my family of 6 down to Jacksonville from New England, but I’m having trouble with securing a home. I’ve found a few places that I’m interested in but the leasing offices say I need to already have a job in FL. I have a lump some of money (from inheritance) that I can put towards rent.. like comfortably, 6 months. But they won’t take it.. inheritance doesn’t count towards “income”. 🙄 Somebody PLEASE give me pointers on how to get around this problem!!! 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I have until July.

Not sure is it works here but when we moved out of state without a job lined up, we found an apartment complex that let us sign a 3 months lease and paid up front. Then we renewed with a 12 month lease once we found work. It was only $750 though so it wants that much to pay at once. Not sure if prices like that exist down there. We were in South Carolina.
