I believe that everyone who used to be a GSA should have met at least once in their lives (or this will happen to me alone)
The front of the day was like a battlefield... two people standing together, my friends and I checked in on a whole-life guest, barely looking at each other. I don't know if the guests made an appointment to check in. The people were all down at the same time.
Checking in and enjoying, a guest suddenly came down with an irritated expression and said... "Why is there someone in the room?"
That's it... I'm the "lost chip." 😅 Send a full duplicate guest.
The only thing I can do is apologize to the guests and find a new room immediately.
In fact, this can happen for many reasons, but one of the most classic reasons is "Don't hit Check-in."
This happens very easily, especially on busy days. The guests come together. The staff are few. Each person hurries. When they open the Reservation, see the room become a VC (Vacant Clean), immediately make a Key Card and send the guest to the room immediately.
Sounds like nothing's wrong, right?
But the problem is... my friend and I did the same procedure at the same time and chose the same room. 😅
If one "hit Check-in" first, the other will know immediately, because the system will not repeat Check-in, and the room will no longer be VC.
That's why "Check-in before sending the Key Card every time."
Otherwise, maybe... Jackpot's broken like me. 😂

ในการทำงานในตำแหน่ง GSA หรือพนักงานหน้าฟร้อนท์โรงแรม หนึ่งในเหตุการณ์ที่บ่อยครั้งและทำให้ปั่นป่วนใจมากที่สุดคือ การส่งแขกขึ้นห้องซ้ำกัน หรือที่เรียกว่า “ส่งแขกซ้ำ” ซึ่งสาเหตุหลักที่ผมเจอบ่อยๆ เกิดจากการลืมหรือไม่ได้ตี Check-in ในระบบก่อนส่ง Key Card ให้ลูกค้า การทำงานหน้าฟร้อนท์ในวันที่มีแขกเช็คอินจำนวนมากมักจะเร่งรีบและมีความกดดันสูง การเปิดระบบเช็คสถานะห้องพักแล้วเห็นว่าสถานะเป็น VC (Vacant Clean) ทำให้พนักงานใจร้อนรีบกดทำ Key Card ส่งแขกขึ้นห้องทันทีโดยไม่ได้ผ่านขั้นตอน Check-in ก่อนส่งการ์ด ซึ่งในสถานการณ์แบบนี้ หากพนักงานคนที่สองก็ทำเหมือนกันและเลือกห้องเดิมพอดี ก็เท่ากับว่าแขกถูกส่งเข้าห้องเดียวกัน ส่งผลให้แขกท่านหนึ่งต้องเจอกับแขกอีกท่านที่เข้าห้องก่อนหน้านั้นแล้ว สร้างความไม่พอใจและปัญหาที่แก้ไขยาก จากประสบการณ์ตรง การแก้ไขปัญหาที่ดีที่สุด คือการย้ำเตือนให้พนักงานทุกคนต้องตี Check-in ในระบบให้เสร็จก่อนทุกครั้ง เพื่อที่ระบบจะล็อกห้องนั้นไว้ไม่ให้ใคร Check-in ซ้ำได้ อีกทั้งยังเป็นการป้องกันความผิดพลาดจากความเร่งรีบในช่วงเวลาลูกค้าหนาแน่น การจัดลำดับงานและแบ่งหน้าที่อย่างชัดเจนก็ช่วยลดความสับสนได้ดีขึ้น นอกจากนี้ การสื่อสารภายในทีมก็สำคัญมาก เช่น การบอกสถานะหรือห้องที่ถูก Check-in แล้วให้ทุกคนแจ้งเตือนกัน เพื่อไม่ให้แบ่งหน้าที่ซ้ำซ้อนและพร้อมรับมือกับสถานการณ์หากเกิดข้อผิดพลาดขึ้นจริง เหตุการณ์แบบนี้ถือเป็นเรื่องธรรมดาในชีวิตของคนทำงานในโรงแรม แต่ถ้าปรับปรุงขั้นตอนการทำงานและเสริมจุดเช็คพอยต์สำคัญได้ดี จะช่วยลดความผิดพลาดและเพิ่มความพึงพอใจให้กับแขก และสร้างบรรยากาศการทำงานที่ราบรื่นสำหรับทีมงานหน้าฟร้อนท์ได้มากทีเดียว หากคุณเคยประสบกับปัญหาส่งแขกซ้ำ หรือมีประสบการณ์การทำงานที่น่าจดจำเกี่ยวกับหน้าฟร้อนท์โรงแรม อย่าลังเลที่จะมาแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์กันนะครับ จะได้เป็นแนวทางให้พนักงานคนอื่นๆได้เรียนรู้กันต่อไป
