How do you manage your PCOS?🤔
Here are a few ways I manage my symptoms and how you can try managing yours:
1. Taking my daily supplements: I take quite a few supplements to help with my everyday symptoms. In the morning, I take a multivitamin, Omega-3’s, Turmeric Curcumin, Biotin, and Inositol. In the evening, I take magnesium and Vitamin D. I can go over these in a separate post if anyone is curious why I take them.
2. Sticking to a functional routine: every day I stick to a routine that aligns with my work schedules. I work kind of a funky split shift, so making and keeping up with this routine is CRUCIAL for my focus and helps with many other things (when to take my supplements, going to the gym, being to places on time, mental health, etc.)
3. Change your gym schedule accordingly to your cycle: this is a BIG one for me, as I get a lot of period symptoms and PMS before my period actually comes. I get a lull and energy about 1 to 2 weeks before my period comes so at that point, I know when to take it easier at the gym and not to expend all my energy. Taking things easier from time to time is not going to ruin your progress!
4. Sleep: for me, getting at least eight hours of sleep at night is crucial for how my energy will be the next day. Nothing will fall into place unless you have good nights sleep. If you’re looking for a place to start, I’d definitely start by fixing your sleep schedule if it is off.
Note: I am not an expert in this field, but merely a person with the chronic illness, and have been dealing with the diagnosis for a little over four years. I am speaking from my own experience and what has helped me on my wellness journey.
Hope this could give you some insight into how I am managing my symptoms so you can better manage yours 🫶🏻

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affects many women, and understanding its symptoms is vital. Common issues include irregular periods, weight gain, and hormonal imbalances. For effective symptom relief, consider maintaining a balanced diet rich in whole foods while avoiding processed sugars. Incorporating physical activity that matches your menstrual cycle can significantly improve your energy levels and overall health. In addition, regular consultations with healthcare providers can help tailor treatments to your individual needs. Self-care practices are equally important in managing PCOS. Mindfulness, meditation, and stress reduction techniques can aid in managing emotional symptoms associated with the condition. It's also crucial to build a supportive community, whether through online forums or local support groups, to share experiences and coping strategies. Always consult a healthcare professional before making changes to your health regime, especially with supplements and exercise.
