Avene

I have been using the spring water for about 3 months. It is nice to use before applying my serum or moisturizer. I don’t allow it to dry completely and my moisturizer or serum spreads more easily.

When your face is feeling especially dry this will help with hydration or if you just need a cool down give yourself a few sprays and you will feel cooler.

It is not needed it is water compressed in a can but I love it boosts my skincare game and it is lovely for when I'm hot to get a quick refresh.

⭐️Overall rating: 4/5

... Read moreExpanding on my experience with Avene Thermal Spring Water, I really want to share why this seemingly simple product has become such a staple in my routine. As someone with sensitive skin, finding products that truly calm and don't irritate is a constant journey. This thermal water has been a lifesaver for those moments when my skin feels a bit reactive or just needs an extra touch of comfort. One of the biggest 'aha!' moments for me was realizing its power beyond just a quick refresh. I've discovered several ways to integrate it that have significantly boosted my skin health. For instance, after cleansing, I love giving my face a generous mist before applying my essences or serums. It doesn't just help these products spread more easily, as I mentioned before, but I feel like it preps my skin, making it more receptive to the active ingredients that follow. It's like creating a perfectly hydrated canvas. Another way I've found it incredibly useful is post-workout or after spending time outdoors. That immediate cooling sensation is fantastic, but more importantly, it helps to calm any redness or heat my skin might have accumulated. I've even started keeping a mini can in my bag for those days when I'm out and about, and my face just needs a quick pick-me-up to feel soft and rehydrated, especially if I'm wearing minimal makeup and don't want to disturb it. For anyone wondering about the 'before and after,' it's not about dramatic transformations in the way a strong active serum might deliver. Instead, the 'before' might be skin that feels tight, slightly irritated, or just a bit dull, and the 'after' is skin that feels noticeably soothed, more comfortable, and has a healthy, subtle glow. It truly helps to soften the skin's texture, making it feel more supple. The fact that it's hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic gives me extra peace of mind, knowing it won't clog my pores or trigger any unwanted reactions, which is crucial for my sensitive skin. I've also started using it to dilute thicker serums or even to dampen my beauty blender before applying foundation, which gives a much more natural, dewy finish. And on those days when my skin is feeling particularly dry or tight, I'll even spray it between layers of my night-time routine – after my hyaluronic acid, before my moisturizer – to lock in extra hydration. It's these little tricks that make all the difference, enhancing the overall effectiveness of my other skincare products. Beyond daily use, I've seen it recommended by dermatologists for post-procedure care, like after a gentle peel or laser treatment, to help with soothing inflammation. While I haven't personally used it for such intense situations, knowing it's trusted for sensitive and compromised skin speaks volumes about its gentle yet effective properties. It truly lives up to its promise of being soothing and softening. It's a simple step, yes, but one that adds a layer of comfort and care that I wouldn't want to give up now.
