Today has been a “Do what you need to do so you can do what you want to do” sort of day. I’ve fallen back in love with reading and I’m currently rereading a book I didn’t complete long ago, The Siren by Tiffany Reisz. I LOVE IT so far as I did the first time, but I had to remind myself to keep my promises to myself and Spirit and that I could have my enjoyment without neglecting reality lol.
So I did the things and along the way was reminded of THE BEST meditation I’ve ever experienced for recentering yourself as a feminine being. I decided to take my journal outside. Do some meditation and grounding and enjoy the experience.
REDBIRDS, RAINBOWS, and BUTTERFLIES!
Boy the things you notice when you’re intentional and present in the moment. Today felt like the atmosphere of childhood. The wind was nostalgic and did deep breathing with me. Even blew me a kiss as I left.
The birds were singing to me and the cardinals made sure I received their messages. Then just as I thought it was over the butterflies showed up to share their love and support.
It was beautiful and I thanked them all for sharing their beauty with me. Risking my allergies was definitely worth it. 😂
Now let me get back in here and cook so I can get back to this book!

When I speak about grounding, it's truly about rooting myself in the present, just like a majestic large tree stands firm, connecting earth and sky. That day, sitting by that outdoor scene with its visible bare branches, I felt an undeniable pull, a sense of belonging that only nature can provide. It's not just about the physical act; it's about opening yourself to the wisdom that surrounds us.
Those moments with the cardinal and butterflies weren't just pretty sights; they were profound messages. The cardinal, in particular, felt like a direct affirmation. I’ve since learned that many cultures view the cardinal bird spiritual meaning as a powerful messenger from the spirit world, often bringing messages of hope, courage, and renewed vitality. They’re seen as spirit guides, reminding us to stay vibrant and true to our path, even when facing challenges. For me, seeing that flash of red, knowing its symbolism for courage, felt like a gentle nudge from the universe to keep going, to keep my promises to myself, and to embrace my inner strength.
And then the butterflies! Oh, the sheer joy of their presence. The butterfly symbolism transformation hope resonates so deeply with where I am right now. Especially learning that yellow butterflies symbolize positivity, hope, and transformation, it felt like an undeniable sign of good things to come. They represent metamorphosis, the beauty of change, and the lightness of being. When they flitted around me, it wasn’t just a simple encounter; it felt like a blessing, a reminder that even through periods of introspection or feeling 'stuck,' growth and beauty are always on the horizon. It encouraged me to embrace whatever shifts are happening in my life with grace and optimism.
Reflecting on the 'what type of tree' query, it makes me think about the different energies trees bring. While I didn't identify the specific species that day, the sheer presence of a strong, rooted tree in that outdoor scene was central to my grounding. Trees, in general, are incredible symbols of grounding, stability, and enduring life. Their deep roots connect them to the earth's energy, while their branches reach towards the heavens, bridging the physical and spiritual realms. Different trees might symbolize different things – an oak for strength, a willow for flexibility, a pine for eternal life – but all offer a profound sense of connection if we allow ourselves to tune in. Just being near one, feeling its ancient energy, can be a powerful anchor for your own spirit.
This whole experience reinforced the idea of seeking out these natural connections. Whether it’s the vibrant cardinal sharing a message of courage or the delicate butterfly signifying transformation and hope, or simply the silent, steadfast presence of a large tree providing a grounding anchor, nature is constantly communicating. It’s about being present enough to receive those messages and integrate them into your journey. It truly felt like a '20-Minute Guided Meditation for Feminine Energy' was unfolding in real-time, orchestrated by the universe itself. This deeper dive into their meanings has only enriched my understanding of that beautiful day.
