Valentine's Week

Valentine’s Week is one of those special times that I look forward to each year, and this time I tried to make it memorable with a mix of family, friends, and work festivities. As a big Harry Potter fan, I had to include a little whimsical nod to the Goblet of Fire with a close-up themed coffee setup — we dubbed it 'Goblet of Coffee,' which was a delightful conversation starter among my team. It’s interesting how literature and fandoms can inspire creative holiday celebrations in unexpected ways. Fondue at work and potluck meals became wonderful opportunities to bond over food. Sharing homemade dishes, especially for occasions like Valentine's, creates a sense of community and warmth that goes beyond the usual workday. It’s also a great excuse to showcase diverse recipes and cultures. I also enjoyed baking activities with my clients, which was not only fun but therapeutic. Baking is a fantastic way to engage creatively and emotionally, especially during a holiday that centers on love and togetherness. For family traditions, helping my daughter prepare her Valentine’s box for school was a highlight. It reminded me of the simple joy in crafting something personal to share with peers, reflecting care and friendship. To top it all off, indulging in a strawberry mocha from Starbucks and taking the car for a wash added small but satisfying moments of self-care during the busy week.
