My greatest gifts didn’t come in boxes. 🎁🤍They came with tiny hands and endless love.
Christmas looks different when you understand what it truly means.
It isn’t the lights, the decorations, or the number of presents under the tree. It isn’t the wrapping paper or the excitement of what’s next to be opened. Christmas, at its core, is about love that was given freely. It is about sacrifice. It is about Christ stepping into the world to give mankind hope, grace, and redemption.
And when I look at my three boys, I am reminded of that truth in the most powerful way.
Three lives entrusted to me. Three hearts full of innocence, curiosity, and purpose. Three reminders that love is not measured by what we receive, but by what we give. In a world that so often tells us more is better, they remind me that what matters most cannot be bought, wrapped, or placed under a tree.
Motherhood has changed the way I understand sacrifice. I now see it not as something heavy, but as something holy. Sacrifice is waking up tired and choosing love anyway. It’s putting someone else’s needs before your own without keeping score. It’s giving your time, your patience, your heart—over and over again—because love calls you to do so.
Christ did that for mankind.
He came not in luxury or abundance, but in humility. He came to serve, to love, and ultimately to sacrifice so that we could live in freedom and grace. And as a mother, I see reflections of that kind of love every single day in the way my heart stretches for my children.
My three boys are my daily reminders that love multiplies when it is shared. That strength and gentleness can coexist. That faith is built not just through words, but through example. I pray that as they grow, they learn that Christmas is not about how much you have, but about who you are becoming.
I pray they learn compassion before comparison. Faith before fear. Gratitude before entitlement. I pray they understand that the greatest gift ever given wasn’t wrapped in paper, but wrapped in purpose.
One day, the toys will fade. The decorations will change. The memories of what was under the tree will blur with time. But the foundation we build—the faith we teach, the love we model, the sacrifices we make—those things will last forever.
This season, I am most thankful not for what fills our home, but for what fills our hearts. For grace that covers us. For love that sustains us. For Christ, whose sacrifice made it possible for us to know hope beyond circumstances.
To my three boys: you are more than my greatest gifts—you are my calling. My prayers. My purpose. Everything I do is rooted in the hope that you grow to know Christ, to love deeply, and to live with humility and courage in a world that desperately needs it.
Christmas is not about abundance—it is about meaning.
Not about receiving—but about giving.
Not about perfection—but about grace.
And this year, as I look at my sons, I see the true miracle of the season reflected right back at me.
